Accidentally Royal

What woman hasn’t dreamed of being a princess. Even if it’s accidentally.

That’s the situation Lillian Bell finds herself in. A poor, American working in a pub in England, she wishes for a life of adventure. Then to settle down and find where she truly belongs.

Be careful what you wish for.

Coming May 20, this sweet romance novel follows Lillian as she’s given the opportunity to start that adventure, fulfill her late mother’s dream, and save Kimbledon, the island country of her ancestors.

There’s only one catch—she has to pretend she’s their long lost princess.

National Humor Month

April is National Humor Month, or so I’m told. I actually haven’t seen this on any official list. Is there an official list?

We’ve been posting different "National Days" periodically and it’s encouraging how many of them are humorous…

Some I can get into, like “National Buffet Day” (Jan 2) (just in time to test my New Year's resolution), “Lost Sock Memorial Day” (May 9) (so needed), “Take Your Houseplants for a Walk Day” (Jul 27) (don’t think I’ve ever really seen anybody celebrating this), or “Be Late for Something Day” (Sep 5).

I have requested this last day be celebrated on a monthly basis (at the very least). We’ll see, but they’re late getting back to me, so…

National Humor Month… such a nice thing to recognize and celebrate. Sure would be nice to substitute celebrations like this over some of the more contentious ones currently on the calendar.

Some of them make me wonder if it's “International Panic Day” (Jun 18).

Easter

I find Easter to be an important holiday. However, I also find it conflicting as there are two sides to this holiday.

On the one hand, there is the traditional Easter activities, namely finding plastic eggs hidden around the area. My grandmother used to put candy or coins inside the plastic eggs for us to find. This is a fun activity for you and your family and makes nice memories.

On the other hand, there is the religious part of the holiday. On Sundays, we go to church, sometimes early in the morning. There, we hold a service where we remember Jesus, his crucifixion, and his resurrection. Have you ever been to a sunrise service? Did you enjoy it?

As you can tell, I find this holiday to be a bit conflicting. But whatever you do on Easter, enjoy this wonderful holiday.
